Lecture and events' programme

How to join the society
TO find out more about our society, please come along to one of our lectures which are held at the Borough Theatre, Abergavenny, starting at 7.30pm usually on the third Thursday of the month during the winter lecture season from September to May - unless shown otherwise. Other events are as specified.

Membership costs £10 a year per person and is payable at the AGM in May. If you would like to join, please e-mail
abergavennyhistory@ukonline.co.uk for further details or come
along to one of the meetings to sign up. Cups of Fairtrade tea / coffee are available in the foyer after each lecture at no extra charge. All lectures are free for members and are for members only.

Guided town walks are usually held each summer at the end of July and beginning of August. Walks for groups can be arranged by appointment.

SUMMER VISITS: Each year, a programme of summer visits for members only is arranged to places of historic interest and booking forms are circulated around November.
