Lark Rise by Gwent Young People's TheatreGwent's rising stars

Members of Gwent Young People's Theatre in their three-day highly successful production of Lark Rise, in the grounds of Abergavenny Castle.
The play, which portrayed a lively picture of Victorian country life with music and song, was adapted by Keith Dewhurst from the book Lark Rise to Candleford by Flora Thompson.

The Leopard Cup will be on show at the Museum





The Roman Day - which runs alongside the Roman exhibition at the museum - will have children's events with workshops until noon to make Roman-style clothing for a Roman pageant starting around 1.30pm

This is followed by a
Roman Evening.
Learn about clothing, medicine and cooking with Chance Encounters Theatre Company; Martin Hodgkiss will be showing his blacksmithing skills; Black Mountain Falconry Centre will be talking about Romans and Birds of Prey and there will be a flying display.

At sunset there will be a film show "A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum" - so bring a picnic.
